48-year-old Hilary Swank announces she is expecting twins.

The Oscar-winning actress, 48, and her husband, Philip Schneider, are expecting twins, a spokeswoman for her told NBC News.

Swank and Schneider wed in a private ceremony in Carmel, California, and have been married for four years.

It was a "dream come true," she gushed to Vogue at the time. They went on a blind date in 2016, and a year and a half later, they were engaged.

The actress previously wed Chad Lowe in 1997; after 10 years of marriage, the two separated in 2007.

Swank's most recent assignment is the new television drama "Alaska Daily," in which she plays Eileen Fitzgerald.

She plays an investigative journalist who relocates to Anchorage, Alaska, from her work in New York City in order to start over.
