A major blown call by an MLB umpire results in a home run.

San Diego starting pitcher Yu Darvish had a dreadful call from home plate umpire Chris Segal during Thursday night's National League Divisional Series

During the game on Thursday night, Darvish was facing Dodgers third baseman Max Muncy in the bottom of the second inning. Darvish quickly jumped out to a lead in the count with two fast strikes.

Then, with a 0-2 count, he fired a 69 mph breaking ball that seemed to be in the strike zone directly down the center of the plate.

Darvish was unfortunate because Segal didn't exactly view it that way. The MLB umpire extended the at-bat and kept Muncy in the game by calling a ball on the pitch.

After the missed call that prolonged the at-bat, Muncy watched a ball, hit two foul balls, and brought the score to 2-2.

The Dodgers increased their lead to 2-1 when Muncy hit a home run to deep right center on the 2-2 pitch.
