Aaron Rodgers' absence from Packers practice is cause for concern.

According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was unable to participate in practice on Wednesday due to a thumb injury to his throwing hand.

He was hurt on the Packers' final Hail Mary attempt in Week 5's shocking loss to the New York Giants. He was able to play against the New York Jets on Sunday

but he struggled terribly in yet another defeat.Despite skipping today's practice, Rodgers is still planning to participate in Sunday's Week 7 game against the Washington Commanders.

There won't be a problem. During his weekly interview with The Pat McAfee Show on Tuesday, Rodgers declared, "I'm still going to play.

Following two straight losses, Rodgers and the Packers will try to turn things around in 2022. If the two-time league MVP wants to stop his team's losing streak, he will need to step up his game.

The start time of the game on Sunday in Washington is 1 p.m. ET.
