On Monday night, the Memphis Grizzlies defeated the Brooklyn Nets 134-124. Ben Simmons fouled out with 3:52 left on the clock, cutting the Nets' 12-point advantage over Memphis to six points.
The call was disputed by the Nets, but Simmons had no right to pressure Ja Morant in that circumstance and put officials in a position to even make that decision.
The ball momentarily returned to play after Simmons slowly left the field and Steve Nash briefly yelled before another whistle blew. What the f—- are we doing!?
Simmons completed the game with 7 points, 8 assists, 3 rebounds, 5 turnovers, and those 6 fouls, while Durant scored 37 points on 20 shots.
It was Simmons' second disqualification of the year, and through three games, he had racked up 17 points and 14 fouls. It's good to know that he made a try at a three.
The bad news is that he only shot it because time was running out towards the end of the third quarter, but it was a brick (better than an airball!).
