After the tense Steelers game, Cameron Brate was ruled out.

When Buccaneers tight end Cameron Brate was carried off the field on Sunday after what seemed to be a head or neck injury against the Steelers, it was a frightening scene.

Brate was high tackled in the third quarter after receiving a pass over the middle from Tom Brady.

Play was paused for several minutes as medical personnel and players from both teams encircled him. He was then immediately seen snatching his helmet.

Brate was removed from the field, but the 31-year-old gave the spectators a thumbs-up as he left, which was a bright spot in the gloomy scene.

Tampa Bay declared him out for the remainder of the game when play resumed, while they also noted that all of his extremities were still moving.

Due to a concussion he sustained in Week 4 against the Chiefs, Brate was unable to play against the Falcons last week. His final two catches totaled 14 yards as he left the game.
