An Old Golf Course That May 'Disappear'

If Not Protected Against Global Warming

The fifth-oldest course in the world, Montrose Golf Club, is in danger of "disappearing" owing to the ever-present danger of coastal erosion.

The North Sea is becoming higher and farther eroding the shoreline due to climate change.

We dropped a meter in the '70s and '80s," former chairman John Adams said on Scotland Tonight.

We're talking about two or three meters a year now; it just keeps growing.

Of course, this isn't limited to Montrose Golf Club.
