One of the James Bond series producers discusses how she persuaded Daniel Craig to return for the 2021 film No Time to Die.

Craig first took on the part of the renowned British superspy in the 2006 film Casino Royale, which served as both the franchise's origin tale and a reboot,

For the next fifteen years, the actor continued to portray the character, appearing in Quantum of Solace, Skyfall, Spectre, and, eventually, No Time to Die.

After the antagonist Lyutsifer Safin (Rami Malek), who is the 25th Bond movie overall, infects him with nanobots that would murder his love interest

and their kid if he touches them, Craig's character dies in the film's conclusion.
The end result of countless years of tiredness from playing Bond is Bond's destiny in No Time to Die.

Craig eventually received his dream, but not before playing the part for the longest period of time in James Bond history.
