This video shows it being rescued from a beach by "frightened" good Samaritans.
A group of individuals out for a stroll on the beach last week in ItanhaƩm, So Paulo, came upon the beached shark.
In fact, it was a shortfin mako, the world's fastest shark, capable of reaching speeds of 45 miles per hour.
Edvan Silva, a local artist, claimed he was "frightened" after catching a sight of the mako.
"This is my regular surfing spot, and I'm starting to feel anxious.
More and more sharks have been seen around here recently."
