A high school quarterback was killed Sunday in Florida when a driver crashed into his truck as he helped another vehicle back onto the road.
A woman driving a Honda Insight didn't see 18-year-old Nick Miner's stopped Ford F-150 in Orlando, according to the FHP.
Miner was helping pull a second F-150 pickup truck back onto the road, authorities said. Miner's truck overturned and he was ejected, according to an FHP press release.
Two women, ages 17 and 20, were outside the stranded truck when Miner's pickup hit them, police said.
They were taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Principal Becky Watson said she "was notified of the tragic death of one of our students"
