For "pushing racist beliefs on students," a nurse has sued the NHS.

In the first instance of its type, a Christian nurse has charged that the NHS is "pushing racist ideology" on pupils.

Amy Gallagher, 33, is suing the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust, citing harassment and victimization as well as discrimination on the grounds of ethnicity, religion

The mental health nurse objected to a presentation titled "Whiteness - a Problem of Our Time" in October 2020, 

 when listeners were made to face "the reality of White Privilege." The mental health nurse is completing a two-year study in Forensic Psychology at the trust.

The next month, Ms. Gallagher claimed she heard a talk leader say that "Christianity is racist because it is European" at another race lecture.

The trust "has dedicated itself to an express objective of being an anti-racist organization," according to the chief executive of the trust, Paul Jenkins.
