There is "no one more deserving" of the Roberto Clemente Award, according to former Dodgers pitcher Ross Stripling, than Justin Turner.
In Los Angeles for portions of five seasons, former Dodgers pitcher Ross Stripling played beside Justin Turner every day.
Stripling seen firsthand the influence Turner and his wife, Kourtney, had on Los Angeles residents and Dodger fans.
Therefore, Stripling was happy but not surprised when JT was named the winner of the 2022 Roberto Clemente Award for his and Kourtney's work with the Justin Turner Foundation.
With Turner's victory, Stripling's old teammates now have three winners. It was won by his longtime Dodgers teammate Clayton Kershaw in 2014,
and by Curtis Granderson, who shared the field with Stripling for two months in Los Angeles in 2017.
