Hyper recalls its overheated stackable GaN chargers

Hyper is recalling its stackable 100W and 65W GaN chargers and a 130W battery pack due to overheating concerns.

HyperJuice Stackable GaN USB-C chargers and HyperJuice 130W USB-C battery pack are recalled.

The business is contacting its customers to urge them to return the gadgets for store credit.

Hyper has received seven complaints of their stacking GaN chargers overheating, causing damage to changing units

and two incidents of the battery pack overheating, producing smoke, melting, and property damage.

Neither device's flaws caused injuries. Hyper sold 18,200 stackable GaN chargers and 13,800 battery packs in North America between October 2020 and August 2022.
