Jalen Hurts of the Eagles explains how he spent his first $1 million in the NFL.

Since the Philadelphia Eagles have had such a successful season (7-0), Jalen Hurts has received greater attention.

The emerging talent, as AfroTech previously reported, started at quarterback for the 2021 football season. Hurts was selected in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft

and signed a contract worth $6.02 million, including a fully guaranteed $1.94 million and workout bonuses in years three and four, before taking the reins of his squad.

Hurts told GQ Sports in 2021, "If I could offer any advise to a rookie entering the NFL, having this amount of money for the first time ever in your life, be cautious with your choices and decisions.

"I know you have stuff you've possibly always wanted, and that's great, so go get it. You merit it. But you should also be wise, careful, and organized. It passes quickly. Uncle Sam is genuine, then.

After detailing how he used his first $1 million, the 24-year-old put his words into action.
