Wing nuggets After a successful shooting night, Bruce Brown enjoyed himself against LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers.
Los Angeles likely intended to clog the paint against Denver in order to stifle Nikola Jokic's offense, a two-time MVP. Given that Brown hasn't been much of a threat from deep in prior seasons,
it made sense for the team to give him some room. Fortunately for the Nuggets, he made the Lakers pay by making 4-of-6 shots from beyond the arc.
Brown played for the Brooklyn Nets and the Detroit Pistons prior to the 2022–23 season. The University of Miami product averaged 0.4 3-pointers a game over four seasons on 32.7% of his shots.
Brown has significantly improved this season, but it appears that the Lakers did not read the scouting report.
Prior to Wednesday, he was making 40.0% of his three-point attempts. The 6-foot-4 wing player has certainly profited from playing with Jokic.
