MLB World Reacts To the Unhappy News About Mariano Rivera

The New York Yankees finished last season with yet another poor postseason performance.

They defeated the Cleveland Guardians in the ALDS, but the Houston Astros swept them out of the ALCS.

Since they haven't played in the World Series since 2009, fans and media analysts have been debating whether or not manager Aaron Boone should be retained.

This week, Mariano Rivera, the former Yankees closer and standout player, also addressed the subject. He claimed that Boone wouldn't come back if he were the owner.

"The manager is solely to blame when things don't turn out the way we want them to. We won't charge the players with paying the price because someone has to, "added Rivera.

Sadly, Boone's return for the 2023 season was announced by the Yankees on Wednesday, so Rivera won't be getting his way.
