The son of former Minnesota Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer, longtime NFL coach Adam Zimmer, has passed away.
The passing of Zimmer was announced on Tuesday by Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network. He was 38. The reason of death has not been made public.
From 2014 until 2021, after Mike was sacked, Zimmer served as a defensive assistant on his father's staff in Minnesota.
This season, he had been the Cincinnati Bengals' offensive analyst.
In 2013, Adam worked with the Bengals as an assistant defensive backs coach.
Prior to it, he had worked for the New Orleans Saints and the Kansas City Chiefs.
