Eli Manning cracked a joke on Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson during this week's Manningcast.
Manning stated that the deal that Wilson received this offseason should have been given to punter Corliss Waitman after the Broncos' recent victory against the 49ers.
Manning said that the punter should have received the $235 million prize instead of Russell.
After Waitman twice trapped the 49ers within the 5-yard line during Sunday Night Football, Manning said this.
Manning reportedly said to Front Office Sports' Michael McCarthy, "I don't think we're trying to be critical. "I believe that we constantly attempt to help the players.
Sometimes I tell myself, "Hey, it's live TV." I never make an attempt to directly criticize somebody.
