This past Saturday, a former employee of the Green Bay Packers passed away.
Former Packers assistant coach and scout Burt Gustafson passed suddenly just a few days ago at the age of 96, according to Richard Ryman of the Green Bay Press-Gazette.
Gustafson served in a variety of roles with the squad from 1971 until 1989. Before switching to coaching special teams in 1977,
he joined the squad as the linebackers coach. He remained a scout for the team after that until 1989.
Gustafson earned 12 letters in football, basketball, and track at Northern Michigan University before signing with the Packers.
