Retired former Red Sox World Series champion

This week, veteran Boston Red Sox utility player Brock Holt announced his retirement from baseball on Instagram.

Holt last played for the Texas Rangers in 2021, when he was still only 34 years old. His time in Boston, where he played from 2013 to 2019, will be most vividly remembered.

With the Red Sox, Holt won the World Series in 2018 and was an All-Star in 2015. Additionally, he twice hit for the cycle during his career (including the only postseason cycle in MLB history).

Holt made stops in Pittsburgh, Milwaukee, and Washington in addition to Texas and Boston. He will always be remembered as a huge fan favorite for many different reasons.

Every fall offers the possibility of a legendary moment that will live on in baseball lore. There are, however, a select few postseason events that stand head

and shoulders above the rest for every team, fan base, and age. Here is a look at the most memorable or notable playoff-related incidents for each MLB team.
