Running back for the Chiefs declares his desire to be released

Ronald Jones was acquired by the Kansas City Chiefs in the offseason in an effort to improve their rushing game. Nevertheless, he hasn't played at all this year.

Jones, a previous second-round selection out of USC, has failed to gain a spot in Kansas City's running back rotation.

On the depth chart, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Jerick McKinnon, and Isiah Pacheco are now in front of Jones.

Jones made the decision to send out an eye-opening tweet on Friday night when the Chiefs were on their bye week.

With the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for four years, Jones had a strong career, rushing for 2,174 yards and 18 touchdowns. 76 of his receptions for 571 yards totaled.

Jones might have an impact somewhere else if he is freed. He will, however, be sitting on Kansas City's bench for the time being.
