Salmonella-Tainted Lettuce Recalled

Some recalls are so large that they are continually expanded. Like the recent listeria-related cheese recall.

Kalera's Krunch, Butter, and Romaine lettuce recalled. Testing found salmonella in its lettuce.

The company has alerted its customers and is working with them to guarantee consumers don't receive recalled products.

"001293" and "001294" are lot codes for whole-head lettuce. All of the lettuce was marketed under the Kalera brand, which has those codes.

Salmonella can kill "young children, the elderly, and those with fragile immune systems," according to the notice.

Don't risk it if you have it. Discard or return the lettuce and sanitise any surfaces it touched. FDA recall page has details, photos, and contact info.
