Over the past five years, Hailie Deegan has risen up the NASCAR ranks, and the 20-year-old is about to take the next step. the Xfinity Series of racing.
Deegan said that she will be competing in a vehicle race in Las Vegas on October 15.
I really really wanted to make my debut on a mile-and-a-half because that's where I feel most at home, as Deegan described it. However, I wished to dabble in the Xfinity Series.
She will be competing at a track she is familiar with and on a weekend without a Camping World Truck Series race. Deegan competes in the Truck Series full-time,
and with a two-week gap between events, she can train for and take part in her maiden Xfinity Series race without fear of upsetting the Truck crew.
Deegan has two top-1 finishes in 21 races this season; his 10th-place result at Mid-Ohio in July and his career-best 6th-place finish at Talladega this past Saturday.
