The Diddly Squat eatery owned by Jeremy Clarkson was closed by order.

Despite claiming a "loophole" in the legislation permitted him to build the restaurant without planning permission.

Jeremy Clarkson has been told to shut the eatery on his Oxfordshire estate.

In July, the 62-year-old host launched the restaurant at the Diddly Squat Farm.

It immediately became a hit, with guests willing to wait in line for up to three hours to try the meal.

His proposal to build a restaurant on the property was refused by the local council in late 2021.

Therefore the grand opening took place in the midst of a planning dispute.
