The Patriots have received "positive news"

New England Patriots receiver DeVante Parker, who suffered a knee injury on Sunday against the New York Jets.

Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reports that Parker has a knee injury and may miss just one game.

For those in New England, this is "excellent news," as Rapoport put it in his broadcast.

The seasoned receiver left Sunday's game after only one play due to a knee injury and was ultimately ruled out.

A huge benefit for Parker is that he appeared to have avoided any substantial ligament injury that would have forced him to miss significant playing time.

In his debut season with the Patriots, Parker has played a significant role in the passing game.
