You might have wondered how Jalen Hurts, a former quarterback for Alabama and the Philadelphia Eagles, got up at Oklahoma over the years.
Unexpectedly, his former head coach Nick Saban was the one who advised him to go to OU. Hurts initially planned to attend Miami or Maryland, according to Saban
"Whose offense has the greatest players?" said Saban. Hurts eventually acknowledged that it was Oklahoma,
and Saban advised him to go there. Hell, I told him to do it even though I knew we could have to play him.
Hurts won the SEC Player of the Year and SEC Freshman of the Year awards in 2016 but Tua Tagovailoa replaced him as the starter in the 2018 national championship game.
The following year, when Alabama faced Georgia in the SEC Championship game again because of Tagavailoa's injury, Hurts had to replace him and helped Alabama win.
