The Raiders confirmed the death of a legendary franchise player.

The Raiders announced this week that former running back Clarence Davis died away. 

Davis played for the club from 1971-1978. The 73-year-old man was elderly.

"The passing of Clarence Davis earlier this week has left a void in the hearts of the Raiders Family.

Davis, an All-American at USC before being drafted by the Raiders in 1971.

Played his best in the greatest games in NFL history "a tweet from the Raiders said. 

Davis caught a last-second pass from quarterback Ken Stabler in the "Sea of Hands".
