When the free agency period begins next month, the Los Angeles Dodgers will be in a variety of difficult situations.
Trea Turner, who will be a free agent for the first time in his career, is one of them and may decide to use his abilities elsewhere at this time.
Turner was among the players whose status has been updated by Jon Heyman of The New York Post.
Turner has made it known to the Dodgers that he enjoys playing in Los Angeles, but Heyman reported that he intends to "examine" every team in the free-agent market.
Turner "can't shake the generally held perception," according to Heyman, that he would rather play for a team on the East Coast, which began when he was apparently
"unhappy heading west" following the Washington Nationals' decision to deal him to the Dodgers before the MLB trade deadline last season.
