With a defeat today, the college football coach can be fired

Scott Satterfield of Louisville is under pressure, according to college football analyst Bruce Feldman.

Feldman observes that Satterfield is supported by Louisville's athletic director. However, influential Louisville supporters don't.

If the Cardinals lose against the 2-3 Virginia Cavaliers today, Satterfield may lose his job. Louisville is behind 10-0 against UVA in the second quarter, which is bad news.

"Another circumstance, involving Scott Satterfield at Louisville, saw a significant increase in pressure last week, Feldman said.

After taking over for Bobby Petrino, who left a disaster behind, he enjoyed a fantastic first year there.

Although he is assembling a fantastic recruiting class, he is coming off back-to-back losing campaigns, and his team is currently 0-3 in the ACC after a disappointing defeat to Boston College.
